If you are a seasoned traveler then getting a credit card that has air miles or frequent flyer rewards will help you pay towards your flight if not pay for the whole ticket. 

Air Miles credit cards are now very popular as you can build up thousands of air miles over a period of time and redeem them for free tickets. These credit cards are also known as loyalty cards and usually tend to offer incentives such as cash bonuses, points and other discounts. The way it works is for every £20 for e.g. that you spend you will get 1 air mile. There are restrictions in that you have to spend this money by purchasing items on your credit card; it may not be a cash advance or balance transfer. You may also qualify for air miles if you use select travel agencies as they may have an arrangement with the credit card company. 

Millions of Air Miles that have been saved go unused every year, which is great for the airlines but not for the consumer so make sure that you use up any air miles you have owing to you. These are usually carried over and saved but make sure you read the fine print to ensure there is no deadline to use the air miles.
