Visa / MasterCard – Which one? 

One of the most useful inventions of all time - apart from the wheel - has to be credit cards.  These little pieces of plastic allow you to buy anything from newspapers to flights anywhere around the world.  The choice you have to purchase anything can be by using either a visa or a MasterCard but what is the difference between the two? 

Both Visa and MasterCard are offered by many banks and are accepted by over 18 million suppliers around the world.  There are also many variations of the Visa and/or MasterCard. 

To name a few it can be anything from choosing different designs or shapes to whether you require fixed or variable rates or even 0% apr. Pre-paid, gold, platinum and classic card options are also available.  With your visa or MasterCard the benefits and facilities seem endless. 

Rewards can range from air miles to shopping vouchers to plasma TV’s as well as loyalty bonus points and 0% on all balance transfers from other credit card accounts. 

Visa and MasterCard allow you to shop anywhere anytime, surf the internet and purchase a bunch of flowers for that special person or occasion, subscribe to your favorite magazine and purchase that song you heard on the radio, whatever you want, if you have a visa MasterCard the only restrictions apart from your own imagination is the limit set on your card. 

Some Visa MasterCard allow you to set your credit limit, others set limits from £1,000.00 up to as much as they feel you can afford depending on your financial situation.
